Process & Aging
Siete Leguas Reposado is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave is slow-cooked to preserve natural sweetness, then fermented and double-distilled in copper pot stills, with a portion of production incorporating the historic tahona method. The tequila is then rested in oak barrels, allowing subtle notes of vanilla, spice, and toasted wood to develop while maintaining the vibrancy of the agave.
Tasting Notes
The nose presents aromas of cooked agave, citrus peel, light caramel, and soft oak. On the palate, sweet agave is complemented by flavors of vanilla, baking spice, herbal notes, and gentle oak, creating a smooth and well-rounded mouthfeel. The finish is clean and warming, with lingering agave sweetness and delicate spice.
What Makes It Special
Siete Leguas Reposado stands out for its traditional production techniques, additive-free profile, and careful barrel aging that enhances complexity without overpowering the agave. Its balance and structure make it ideal for sipping while remaining versatile enough for elevated cocktails.
How to Enjoy
Enjoy Siete Leguas Reposado neat or over a large ice cube to appreciate its layered character. It also performs beautifully in classic cocktails such as a Reposado Margarita, Tequila Old Fashioned, or Paloma, where its richness and balance shine.
