Super Strength Irish Cream Flavoring
A typical 5-6 gallon batch uses 1-2 drams (0.125-0.25 oz), depending on the flavor and desired intensity. Add the flavor during kegging or bottling, starting with the lower amount and adjusting gradually to taste. Mix gently and sample before treating the entire batch.
Flavor Profile and Beverage Ideas
Irish Cream offers creamy vanilla, cocoa, coffee, and whiskey-like notes in a rich dessert profile. Use it in stout, porter, brown ale, sweet mead, or a dessert-style wine. It is most convincing when the base beverage already has roasted malt, caramel, or oak character. Coffee, chocolate, hazelnut, caramel, and vanilla reinforce the familiar profile. In a dry base, Irish Cream will read sharper; a little residual sweetness will make the aroma and finish feel fuller.
